The Vortex

The food clouds of the gaseous giant, Baru, are disappearing into an atmospheric anomaly, a whirlpool storm known as the vortex. The resulting famine wreaks havoc not only among the indigenous air-dwelling life forms, the Baru-un, but also among the vipers, their chief predators. Into the turmoil, the space vehicle Jellyfish, appears with its own agenda, and its own problems. The events occurring simultaneously in the tribes of Baru and within the walls of the Jellyfish converge to a dramatic and unexpected conclusion...
